Yesterday we presented Penny Chubb with an Around the Combe Community Hero Award.
For the past 12 weeks, Penny put her business on hold and led a team of volunteers to make over 2600 free masks for the NHS, carers, keyworkers and members of the public.
We think Penny has gone above and beyond what she set out to do and we think she is well worthy of our Hero Award.

We would also like to thank the Hope and Cope Maskiteer ladies for their time and effort in making these beautiful bespoke masks.

Penny’s shop Make New and Mend is now open on Wellington street so please pop in and say hello.

Penny your one in a million, thank you from all of the community.
